Residue and Degradation Dynamic of Hymexazol in Watermelon and Soil

[Objective] The paper was to delect the residue of hymexazol in watermelon and soil.[Method] Gas chromatography(GC) method was used to measure the residue of hymexazol in watermelon and soil.[Result] The average recovery rate of hymexazol in entire watermelon fruit was 80.02%-83.25%,and the variation coefficient was 1.12%-3.25%;the average recovery rate in soil was 80.11%-84.23%,and the variation coefficient was 1.25%-3.08%.The degradation dynamics and the final residue results of hymexazol in watermelon and soil showd that the degradation half-lives in watermelon in Changsha(Hunan) and Beijing were 3.40 and 3.13 d,and the degradation half-lives in soil in two places were 3.66 and 3.67 d,respectively.[Conclusion] When 0.1% hymexazol granules watered agent were sprayed in watermelon fruits for 1 time according to the recommended dose of 600 kg/hm2,the safe period of hymexazol in watermelon could be set as 14 d.
