Content Determination and Changes of Epidermal Growth Factor, Transforming Growth Factor-α and Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 in Lyophilized Bovine Colostrums and Bovine Colostrums Products

[Objective] To study the changes of contents of epidermal growth factor(EGF), transforming growth factor-α(TGF-α) and insulin-like growth factor-1(IGF-1) in lyophilized bovine colostrums(LBC) during the lactation of 7 days and their contents in bovine colostrums products. [Method] Bovine colostrums from the first day to the 7~(th) days postpartum and milk were prepared into LBC and LM by the freeze-drying technology, and the contents of EGF, TGF-α and IGF-1 were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunoassay. [Result] The average dry matter content of bovine colostrums within 2 days was 200 g/L by lyophilization. The highest content of EGF(7.0 ng/g), TGF-α(16.8 ng/g) and IGF-1(3.36 μg/g) was found in the LBC of the first day postpartum, then rapidly decreased within 7 days, and the contents on the 7~(th) day were close to LM levels. The average content of EGF, TGF-α and IGF-1 in LBC within 4 days were 5.6 ng/g, 9.6 ng/g, 2.42 μg/g, which were 7.0, 13.7 and 6.1 times as that in LM. The contents of EGF, TGF-α in three bovine colostrums health-care food(BCHF) were significantly higher than two market milk powder and LM. The contents of EGF, TGF-α in prolactin were significantly higher than other two bovine colostrum health food. The content of IGF-1 in prolactin was 1.11 μg/g, which was significantly higher than that in LM.[Conclusion] The research could provide theoretical and experimental basis for the further development and utilization of bovine colostrum products.
