Theantimicrobialactionofteapolyphenoltosomecommonfoodputrefiedmicrobeswasstudied.Theresultsshowedteapolyphenolcouldefectivelyinbibitthegrowthofcommonputrefiedmicrobesinfoodanditsantimicrobialspectrumwaswide.It'ssuggestedthatteapolyphenolwasusedaskeepingfreshagentandpreservativeagent(antispticagent)offruitandvegetablesduringstorage.
