The Relationship Between Genetic Distance and Yield Heterosis in Wheat

The relationship between genetic distance and heterosis was fitted by modern regression analysis.The possibility of forecasting heterosis by genetic distance was studied.The materials consisted of 10 varieties and their 45 combination by diallel mating design.The results were as follow:there was a significant nonlinear regression relationship between genetic distance and heterosis.The curve was a non symmetrical parabola through origin of coordinates.The accuracy of forecastiong heterosis by genetic distance in wheat was 93 02%.
