Two cultural heros in the mass media age

ZHU Jun (College of Humanities, Suzhou University, Suzhou Jiangsu 215006, China)
Mythologies reveal the common inner structure of man's mind, which is also an important starting point of the structuralism dissemination theory. The tragic and comic heroes in the Greek mythology, which respectivelty symbolize the hero of vision and the hero of hearing of the modern mass media, expound two everlasting themes of the mass media: the theme of existence and the theme of revel. Mytholgy underlies mass media, whereas mass media narrates mythology.
