Five Public and the Private concepts and Morol Construction at the Primary Stage of Socialism

QIAN Guang-rong (Dept.of Pol.,ANU,Wuhu 241000,China)
There are five concepts to the public and the private in today's moral activities in China. They are selflessness:that is,to put the public before the private;to give consideration to both the public and the private;to put the private before the public;selfishness. They are "sediments" from the long-term jointed effects of several social factors since ancient times. At the primary stage of socialism, selflessness should be regarded as a moral demand for the communists to comply with.Collectism,as the socialist moral principle, including putting the public before the private and taking into consideration both the public and the private,is the moral standard for all members of our society. They should be a central task to be carried out continuously in our moral construction.
