A PRELIMINARY STUDY ON INTEGRATEDGEOGRAPHICAL REGIONALIZATION IN ANHUI PROVINCE

Integrated geographical regionalization is the prerequisite and basis of regional study of sustainable development. By means of map superposition, principal components analysis, and cluster analysis, this paper devides Anhui Province into 11 integrated geographical sub-regions, 5 integrated geographical regions such as Wanbei Region, Jianghuai Region, Dabieshan Region, Yanjiang Region and Wannan Region. The advantages and disadvantages provide scientific basis for Anhui Province to formulate and carry out the strategy of regional sustainable development.
