CHEMILUMINESCENT SYSTEM OF SCHIFF BASE WITH AZOSUBSTITUTED GROUPS-POTASSIUM PERMANGANATE-SULFURIC ACID

Newly synthesized 5 (4 Rphenylazo) 8 salicyldeneami noquinoline show intensive chemiluminescence(CL) when oxidized by potassium permanganate in the sufuric acid. The possible mechanism is proposed based on absorent spectrum of schiff base. The main facts which affected the CL reaction were examined. A new analytical method for determination of schiff base with Azosubstituted groups was proposed. The linear relationship between the intensity of CL and the concentration of schiff base is in the range of 2.5×10 -6 ~5.0×10 -5 mol/L, and the detection of limit is 3.8×10 -7 mol/L schiff base is 2.6%. The method has been successfully used n analysis of synthesized samples.
