THE LUMINESCENCE CHARACTERISTIC OF ORGANIC CONJUGATED MOLECULES IN DIFFERENT SOLVENTS

AbstrcatTo understand the luminescence mechanism of organic conjugated molecules better, three molecules with different number of π electrons has been investigated in this paper. The excited and emission spectra of anthrone derivative, lactoflavin and chlorophyll a in different solvents are taken and the fluorescence yields has been estimated. The results show that the emission spectrum depends on the structure of molecule, and shifts to red with increasing of number of π electrons in the molecule.It is found that the spectra of molecules change in different solvents with the shift up to 39nm.The efficiency ofnon-radiative resonance energy transfer between the molecules has been discussed under the analysis of the spectra taken.The possible development of the work has also been suggested.
