STUDY ON THE HEAVY METALS POLLUTION IN THE VEGETABLE FARM SOILS IN LU'AN CITY

The paper discussed the pollution of heavy metals in vegetable farm soils in Lu'an City.The contents of copper,zinc,lead,nickel and manganese in 15 soil samples were measured.The results showed that the contents of copper,zinc,lead,nickel and manganese ranged from 8.15-32.45mg/kg,20.1-95.15mg/kg,47.75-61.6mg/kg,39.1-73.1mg/kg and 91.45-275.25mg/kg,respectively.At the same time,the pollution index was calculated based on both the background values of heavy metals in soils from Anhui province and the state standard values of soil quality in China.The result indicated that the vegetable farm soils were contaminated compoundly by lead and nickel in great universality based on the background values of heavy metals in soils from Anhui province.As for contaminated degree,lead was the most serious.Based on the state standard values of soil quality in China the average integrated pollution index of the city was 1.43 that indicated the result of vegetable farm soils having been slightly contaminated by nickel.
