Landslide Calamity Research Using Multi-Temporal Remote Sensing Images and DEM Data——A Case Study of Xintan Landslide

Remote sensing technology has become one of the main techniques in macroscopical investigation and hazard evaluation of regional landslides and their growing environment.Taking 1985 Xintan landslide as a case study,this paper uses the multi-temporal remote sensing images and elevation data and basic geological information,synthetically analyzes the environmental background and calamity effects of Xintan landslide.Through comparing the elevation information between 1959 and 1986,the elevation difference before and after the Xintan landslide is derived.The volume difference is also figured out by programming.The result is consistent with the historical record.Based on the analysis of this instance, the technique advantage of analyzing and early warning of landslides by using multi-temporal,high-resolution remote sensing data is synthetically expatiated.
