The Electrochemical behavior of Ciprofloxacin and Its Interaction of Ciprofloxacin and ctDNA by Electrochemical and Spectroscopy Techniques

Cyclic Voltammetry coupled with fluorescence and UV/Vis absorbance spectra techniques were used to study the interaction of ciprofloxacin and calf thymus DNA in phosphate buffer solutions.The interaction of ciprofloxacin and ctDNA could result a considerable decrease in the peak currents and positive shift in the peak potential,decrease in the adsorption intensity and red shift in the adsorption peak,and decrease in the fluorescence emission.The experiment results showed that the new adduct between ciprofloxacin and ctDNA was formed.
