The Muscular Force Effect on the Blood Pressure of Normal and Abnormal Arms in Cerebral Stroke

Objective: To evaluate the muscular force effect on the blood pressure differences of normal and abnormal arms in cerebral stroke both acute stage and sequela stage. Methods: 126 cases with cerebral stroke in acute stage and 73 cases with cerebral stroke in sequela stage had been compared to the blood pressure of normal and abnormal arms using desk model sphymomanometer. Results: The blood pressure of normal and abnormal arms in acute stage of cerebral stroke was no significantly difference (P0.05);The blood pressure of normal arm in sequela stage was significantly higher this of abnormal arm (P0.05);And the systolic pressure of normal arm in sequela stage with muscular force 0~1 grade and 2~3 grade was significantly higher this of abnormal arm (P0.05);To the rate of blood pressure difference 10mmHg of two arms. The rate of sequela stage was signifi- cantly higher than that of acute stage(P0.01);And the rate of normal arm in sequela stage was significantly higher than that of the abnormal arm (P0.01). Conclusion: The normal and abnormal arms may be chosen to measure blood pressure in acute stage of cerebral stroke; And normal arm is mainly chosen to measure blood pressure in sequale stage of cerebral stroke.
