Research on Properties of Fatigue Crack Propagation by Program Spectrum on Wheel Steel

The examination procedure of fatigue creak propagation by program spectrum is established recur to the TESTWARE application software of MTS TESTSTAR. The propagation velocities of overload and program spectrum fatigue crack on HDSA wheel are determined. The test result shows that, fatigue creak propagation is stagnated by overload but urged by increasing and decreasing program spectrum. It also indicated that continuous emergency brakes during running are harmful to the wheel longevity.
