Determination of berberine in yankening tablets by HPLC

Aim To establish a HPLC method for determining berberine in Yankening tablets.Methods C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) was used and the mobile phase was acetonitrile-0.05 mol·L-1 KDP(30∶70).The flow rate was 1.0 ml·min-1.Diode array detector was set at 347 nm.Results The linear range of berberine was between 20.2 and 181.8 mg·L-1(r=0.999 9,n=5) and the average recovery were 99.71% with RSD being 0.32%(n=6).Conclusion The method is accurate and simple for quality control of the preparation.
