Aim To study the anti-inflammatory effect of triterpene acids from poria cocos(TAPC).Methods Various inflammatory models, including the swelling of ear induced by dimethyl benzene in mice, the permeability increase of blood capillary by acetic acid in mice, hind paw edema induced by carrageenin in rat and granuloma induced by cotton pellet implantation in rat were used to explore the anti-inflammation of TAPC.Results TAPC(50,150,450 mg·kg-1,ig) could significantly inhibit the ear edema and celiac capillary permeation in mice, markedly inhibit paw edema induced by carrageenin and granuloma induced by cotton pellet in rats. Conclusion TAPC has a remarkable anti-inflammatory effect.
