Gemcitabine and cisplatin combination chemotherapy of artery and vein in advanced pancreatic cancer

Objective To observe the clinical effect of gemcitabine and cisplatin(GP) regimen arterial perfusion chemotherapy combination with infusional in the treatment of advanced pancreatic cancer.Methods A total of 43 advanced pancreatic cancer patients were treated with gemcitabine 1 000 mg·m-2 and cisplatin 30 mg·m-2 transcatheter regional-aterial infusion chemotherapy on day 1,followed by cisplatin 30 mg·m-2 intravenous on days 2,3,and the same dose of gemcitabine was infused on day 8,repeated every 21 days as one cycle.Results The effective rate was 30.2%(complete and partial responses) and the clinical benefit response was 76.7%.The median time to progression and survival was respectively 6.7 months and 14.6 months.Conclusion The GP regimen combination chemotherapy of artery and vein was effective in advanced pancreatic cancer,with less adverse effect and excellent tolerance.
