Effect of Danshen on L-type Calcium Channel Current in Isolated Myocardiocytes After Ischemia

Objective:To investigate the effect of Danshen on L-type calcium channel current(I Ca-L ) in isolated myocardiocytes after ischemia. Method:Whole cell patch clamp technique was employed. Result:In isolated myocardiocytes after ischemia, Danshen 50,100,200 mg/L reduced the I Ca-L from (659.7±148.5)pAto (531.9±113.2),(492.4±49.3), (341.8±72.6) pA (n=8,P0.05 or P0.01)respectively.Conclusion:Danshen can significantly reduce the I Ca-L in isolated myocardiocytes after ischemia, which may contribute to its effect on anti-myocardial ischemia and ischemia-induced arrhythmia.
