Objective To observe the short-term clinical efficacy of therapy of promoting blood circulation and removing stasis in treating postoperative complications induced by uterine fibroid artery embolization(UFAE) in patients with uterus myoma. Methods Sixty cases of uterus myoma complicated with stagnation syndrome in the uterus were averagely randomized into treatment group and control group.Patients in both groups were treated with UFAE according to Sldinge's technology.Three weeks after the UFAE operation, patients in treatment group took Chinese medicine of promoting blood circulation and removing stasis, and patients in control group were given symptomatic treatment.Patients in both groups were followed up during 6 months of postoperative period. Before and after treatment, the change of menstruation, the onset time, severity, alleviation method and extinction time of embolization syndrome were observed in details. Results After the operation, menstasis was not found in both groups;Mild urogenital system infection was observed in one case in control group, while it was not found in treatment group; The case number of pelvic pain in treatment group was significantly lower than that in control group;Scores and duration of pelvic pain and duration of irregular vaginal bleeding were significantly lower than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion Therapy of promoting blood circulation and removing stasis has good application prospects because of its obvious advantages and few adverse reactions in treating complications induced by UFAE.
