Yuan Yunfei Zhang Yaqi Chen Mingshan Guo Rongping Lin Xiaojun Li Jinqing(Tumor Hospital,Sun yat-sen University of Medical Sciences,Guangzhou,510060)
This paper recommended a criteria to evaluate the severity of hepatic cirrhosis mainly according to the diameter of the largest cirrhotic nodule of the liver surface during the operation for pa- tients with primary liver cancer (PLC).When it was less than 0.40 cm,we considered the liver was accompanied with mild cirrhosis;from 0.40 cm to 0.80 cm,moderate cirrhosis;large than 0.80 cm or remarkable shrinkage of the liver, severe cirrhosis.According to this criteria,it was statistically re- vealed that the more the severity of hepatic cirrhosis, the more the incidence of hepatic failure. It may be suggested that this criteria was helpful to evaluate the severity ofhepatic cirrhosis and hepatic func- tional reserve and then for us to perform a suitable operation for patient with PLC to reduce the inci- dence of hepatic failure postoperatively.
