Purification of Taurine from Dicksoniaceae

ion:A procedure for isolating taurine from raw material-atuopepsia dicksoniaceae was developed. In the course of the process, taurine was released from the cells by means of cell autolysis. The results indicated that the optimal coditions was 40℃, pH5.5 and preheating for 40 hours. Taurine was purified with ion-exchanger chromatography. The content of taurine in the product was 80.6%. The yield of taurine was 95%.
