Study on Processing of D-glucosamine Hydrochloride from Procambarus clarkii Shell

This paper studies the techniques for making D glucosamine hydrochloride (GAH) from the shell of Procambarus clarkii . The result showed that a 52～55% GAH could be achieved from hydrolyzed chitin under the following conditions: in 10 mol·L -1 hydrochloric acid for 5-6 hours at 85～92℃. The ratio of chitin to hydrochloric acid solvent was 3:5. The content of GAH was 99～100.5%.
