Study on Breeding of L-tryptophan-producing Strain and Its Fermentation Conditions

WANG Jian, CHEN Ning, TAN Qing-qiao, ZHANG Ke-xu (College of Food Science and Bioengineering, Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Tianjin 300222, China)
The breeding and fermentation conditions of L-tryptophan-producing strain were studied. A L-tryptophan-highly productive strain TQ2223 was derived from Corynebacterium glutamicum Tx5-32 by stepwise mutagenic treatments with DES. Based on the optimum conditions of strain TQ2223 in shake flask, the batch fermentation was performed in 30-liter fermenter. The result showed that the strain could produce L-tryptophan 7.28 g·L -1 after fermentation for 64 hours.
