Extraction and Determination of γ-Aminobutyric Acid in Fern

HUANG Mei-e 1, YU Hua-zhong 2, CAO Yong 2 (1.Department of Biology Resourses, Jishou University, Zhangjiajie 427000; 2. Forest Product and Chemical Engineering Key Laboratory of Hunan Province, Jishou University, Zhangjiajie 427000, China)  
γ-aminobutyric acid in fern leaves and stems was extracted by leaking, isolated by column chromatography and guantitatively dctermined by dual wavelength thin layer scanning method. The result indicated that the γ-aminobutyric acid was about 0.319% and 0.141 % . This determination method of γ-aminobutyric acid is simple, quick and precise.
