Study On Plasma-Free Amino Acid Levels Of Healthy Preschool Children

The plasma-free amino acids(PFAA) were measured in 65 healthy children and 35 disabled ones, aged from 3 to 7 years, by densly-cholrids reaction and thin-layer chromatography(TLC). The results showed that the free amino acid levels were not changed with different sexualitoies and ages and the normal value of PFAA in healthy children may be used in clinical practice. The PFAA levels in healthy group was significantly higher than those in disabled ones. This indicates that all kinds of PFAA levels is obviously decreased when children are in severely malnutrition.
