Determination and discussion on the biosynthesis of Photogenic Acid in the Eucommia ulmoides Olive

Aim to Determination and discuss biosynthesis of Chlorogenic Acid in Leaf of Eucommia ulmoides Olive Method the conditions for the extracting chlorogenic acid in the Eucommia Ulmoides Olive leaves were optimized as follows:by 30% methanol for 20 minutes;determined by RP-HPLC.The chlorogenic acid was separated on kromasil C18 column,with CH3OH~0.02%H3PO4(22:78) at a flow-rate of 1.0ml/min and detected at UV 327nm.The calibration curve was linear in the range of 9.78~244.5μg/ml(r=0.9998).Results the analysis of the content of chlorogenic acid in the leaf of smooth leather Cortex with 10 years old was carried out and the result indicated the content of chlorogenic acid differed greatly in the leaf;the content of chlorogenic acid in leaf was higher on June.Conclusion biosynthesis of chlorogenic acid in leaf of Eucommia ulmoides is controlled by growth hormone.
