Chemical Properties of Biological Crust and Effect on Subsoil under 2 Vegetation Types

Taking the biological soil crusts and the lower crust of soil in Maowusu sandland as the research object,their chemical properties at the conditions of Artemisa ordosica and Hedysarum were studied to investigate the effect of the biological soil crusts on the soil chemical characteristics under different vegetation.The results showed that the nutrient content of the biological soil crust was higher than the flow of sand,the duration of the development was longer and the nutrient content was richer in the scrub A.ordosica biological crust than that of H.laeve.The biological soil crusts had effect on the cower crust nutrient.The contents of brganic matler,total nutrients and available nutrient in the biological soil crusts were higher than the quicksand soil which and decreased with the increase of the soil depth.
