Remote Sensing Monitoring of Spring Vegetation Coverage Variation in Liaoning Province During Recent Ten Years

Considering MODIS remote sensing image as basis,the data of MODIS L1B images in Liaoning province was calculated in Spring from 2000 to 2009,then the general situation of vegetation fraction was obtained and the spatial change situation of vegetation fraction in the whole province during the ten years was seen.The results showed that there was a spatial and regional feature of NDVI values in Liaoning province,showing the eastern and western low-momentum;vegetation cover was stable from 2000 to 2004 and vegetation index from 2005 to 2008 showed an increasing trend;the NDVI in 2008 was the highest in recent ten years,while the vegetation in 2009 severely reduced;through the extraction of NDVI values and precipitation trend,we could see the precipitation in Liaoning province had a positive effect on vegetation growth in spring.
