KARYOTYPE ANALYSIS OF PINUS DABESHANENSIS CHENG ET L.K.FU

Xing Zizhuo, Kang Zhongming (Forestry Department)  
Descriptions of Karyotype of analysis of Pinus dabeshanensis(based primarily on centromere location and arm lengths)are presented. Results for this species are similar to those obtained in previous studies on Pinus spp. lt has a haploid complement of 12 chromosome, and except the 12th chromosome which is the smallest and possesses submedian centromeres, the other 11 chromosomes possess median centromeres and are rather similar in total length. The karyotype is similar to those of P. korainensis. P. sibirica and P. armandii.
