Studies on Development Rule of Population Number of Semanotus bifasciatus (Matsch)

Based on the data of surveying and experiment on the insect pest of Cunninghamia lanceolata Hook in the West Mountain areas of Anhui province,the relations between the population density of Semanotus bifasciatus Matsch of Cunninghamina lanceolata Hook and ecological factors such as climatic contrasts forest density,orographical conditions,forest tending thining,tree age,forest composition and native predator were analysed and studied,the results showed that the harm level and population density of Semanotus bifasciatus were related well to their ecological conditions.
