Assessment on pollution status of heavy metal in sediment of Moshui Lake in Wuhan

Investigation on the sediment in Moshui Lake in Wuhan city was made,and sediment pollute evaluation criterion was set up,by consulting domestic relevant standard.The results showed that the sediment pollution from the heavy metal(Pb and Zn) was quite obvious,and most of them were complex.Only the concentrations of Cu in sediment samples near south bank were of warning grade,pollution endangering order as ZnPbCu.The synthetic index of sediment pollution was 1.74,which was low-grade pollution of grade Ⅲ.It is disable to be used as agriculture fertilizer without treatment.
