Development of Research on Forest Nutrient Cycling Related to Recent Issue of Forest-environment

Chen Fangming; Lin Xiaowu(Department of Forestry,Department of Foreign Language,Anhui Agricultural University ,Anhui Agricultural University)
Based on research on the globe cycling of main nutrient elements,it was suggested thatforests is not only a huge sink for environmental pollutants, but also a large emissive source by it-self of some pollutants. Moreover ,the relative intensities of both are getting close to balance.Based on abundant research on whethere the environniental pollution is assiciated to forest declineor dieback, two controversial viewpoints, namely“harmfulness, hypothesis”and “beneficalnesshypothesis”have formed. In addition ,multilateral environmental policies have reflected subtle re-lations among some countries for the particularly geopolitic pattern. All these research fields men-tioned at last can not be of independance to exploration of nutrient cycling, becaause of its basisof providing scientific proof for each issue.
