Pathogenic Indentification of Kiwifruit Bacterial Canker in Anhui

A new canker disease of kiwifruit occurred at Yuexi in 1990 ,and broken out in 1991.Eight isolates of pathogen obtai ned from in fected kiwifruit plants at Shuangfeng and Longjing orchards and a check strain KW11 were tested. According to pathogenicity,morphology ,cultural andstaining properties , physiology ,biochemistry ,serology and special enzymes tests , the propertiesof Anhui isolates were similary to the strain KW11.It was demonstrated that the bacterial cankerwas caused by pseudomonas syringae Pv.
