Effects of Organogermanium on Development of Immune Organs in Chickens

Germanium-riched eggs were obtained from the parent layers fed the somedossg of Ge-132 in diet and hatched with the common eggs under the same conditions,180germanium-riched chickens and 135normal chickens were randomly divided inton four andtwo groups,respectively,which were treated by oral administration of Ge-132 and immuni-ty of Marirek’s disease vaccine The effects of organogermanium on development of immuneorgans in chickens were observed in the experiment.The results showed that the weightgains of immune organs in germanium-riched chickens were more than those in normalchickens after the age of 30 day.The indices of thymus,bursa of Fabricius and spleen of ger-manium-rihed chickens were higher than those of normal chickens.The effects were sig-nificant(P0.05)when the germanium-riched chickens were fed with diets containingGe-132.Meanwhile,there wer the better effects of organogermanium on liveweight gain ofbody in chickens after the age of 30 day.The results confirmed that it were fensible thatorganogermaniunm as feed additive in parent and filial gerneration layers could enchance im-mune functions,which wer of siginficance in poultry industry.
