Effect of Nitrogen and Rice-Planting Density on Rice Yield,Rice Sheath Blight and Brown Planthopper

The effect of nitrogen and rice-planting density,two main factors affecting rice culture along the Huaihe River in Anhui,on rice yield,rice sheath blight and brown planthopper were studied in this paper.The result showed that the planting density (15×10 4~37 5×10 4 hills/hm 2 for ordinary rice and 10 5×10 4~28 5×10 4 hills/hm 2 for hybrid rice) had a greater effect on rice yield and a less effect on rice sheat blight and brown planthopper than that of nitrogen level.Therefore a rational combination of nitrogen level and planting density of net nitrogen 192 kg/hm 2 and 28 5×10 4 hills/hm 2 for ordinary rice and 192 kg/hm 2 and 21 3×10 4 hills/hm 2 for hybrid rice along the Huaihe River was suggested.
