Effects of Cd and Cr(VI)single and combined pollution on peroxidaes isozymes of carassius auratus

The present paper deals with the effects of Cd, Cr(VI) single and combined pollution on POD isozyme of Carassius auratus. The authors have done a detailed study on the fish exposed to Cd or Cr(VI (0.3 mg/L and 3.0 mg/L) and their reaction to the poisons for 7 days,through polyactylamide gel electrophoresis, the effects of Cd、Cr(VI)single and combined pollution on POD isozyme of Carassius auratus. The results prove that, with the rise of the Cd or Cr(VI)poisonous concentration, the activities of POD isozymes induced by Cd in the livers significantly increased , but in the kidneys and brains of the fish, the activities of POD isozymes significantly decreased. The activities of POD isozymes in the livers and in the kidneys induced by Cr(VI)would significantly increase while the those of POD isozymes wouldn't bring any obvious change in the brains. Thus, the results also indicate that the effects of combined pollution reveal the tendency of synergistic effects. Therefore, the above results can probably suggest that the effects of Cd, Cr(VI)single and combined pollution on POD isozyme vary with the tissues and organs in Carassius auratus.
