On scheme of smoking control and evacuation for extremely long highway tunnels

The paper is aimed to present two alternative schemes of fire-smoke control and evacuation for extremely long highway tunnels by taking Er Lang Shan highroad tunnel as an example through CFD simulation.For the given purpose,temperatures,pressures,as well as the movements of the smoke current in the tunnel have been analyzed under the two alternative smoke control and evacuation schemes at different fire-and heat-releasing rates(HRR).And,then,corresponding smoke control schemes are proposed on how to make the fresh air forced into the pilot tunnel and how to keep the positive pressure in it by preventing the smoke-spreading inside the tunnel so that the evacuees can escape through the pilot tunnel conveniently.And,finally,proper approaches to the control and evacuation both for the people and the vehicles are simulated based on the principle respectively.
