The paper aims to present its authors' investigation and assessment over the health hazards caused by the pollutants from the three main forms of pollution, that is,the air,the water source and the soil in the city of Fushun. As is well known,Fushun is a famous urban producers of mineral and heavy-industrial products, due to which its eco-environment has been seriously spoiled to some extent in the past long-lasting developmental periods. To make a comprehensive survey and exploration of the impact or consequences of the environmental pollution on the health hazards of the local inhabitants, this paper has made a systematic survey and assessment over the facts of the pollution. The results of our assessment have shown that, the health hazards brought by the air pollution still keeps within the range of the state-stipulated critical limit, that is to say, the situation of the pollution turns to be better with an encouraging tendency. As to the water source pollution, the gene toxic substance of Dahuofang reservoir proves higher than that of non-gene toxic substances whereas the metalCr has the highest hazard or detrimental value. On the contrary, the non-gene toxic substance in the soils proves highest among the three aspects of the pollution. In addition,of all the pollutants,F proves to be the most serious and threatening health hazard factor. In conclusion,it can be said that the environmental pollution does bring harmful effect on the inhabitants of the city. And,of the three aspects—air, water and soil, air pollution brings the slightest harm among the three whereas the pollution of water and soil brings much more serious harm to the city residents' health.
