Research on the emergency evacuation technology for sour gas well blowout accidents

The blowout accident of natural gas well could lead to serious consequences such as loss of life and property, especially when the poisonous gas such as H_2S is present.The emergency evacuation should be initiated immediately when the sour gas wells do blow out. Therefore, it is of great importance to carry out research on the efficiency of emergency evacuation management.The blowout accident model of sour gas well is set up to simulate the real situation.The concentration distribution of sour gas in blowout accident was obtained from the numerical simulation.The data was used to propose a calculation method for the evacuation lime and the shortest evacuation radius. The reliability of the methodology was validated by simulation instance.The simulation results were comparable with the real safety evacuation setup, and the method of minimum evacuation radius calculation was proven to be reasonable.The research fundamental on the sour gas blowout could be popularized to the other hazardous instances, such as heavy gases blowout or diffusion.
