Multi-sensor deformation-monitoring system in relation to bridge and culvert construction of the railway in operation

In order to eliminate the vacillation and railway accidents caused by bridge and culvert construction of the railway under operation,the author has proposed a multi-sensor deformation-monitoring system in this connection based on the multi-sensor technology and virtual instrument technology.The said system is by nature a deformation monitoring program of a buttress-beam temporary support system.For this purpose,first of all,we have deduced a scientific formula of any hinge point's settlement and horizontal displacement value on the beam through theoretical analysis and trigonometric geometric relationship.And,then,we have built up an analysis platform for multi-sensor deformation monitoring by using the LabVIEW virtual instrument software.The system is set up with all the sensors being connected to the safety automatic monitoring acquisition instrument in the construction site,which is responsible for the selective collection of the monitoring signals.When the operator is to work with the instrument,he can set up the acquisition time and frequency.With all the forty channels BGK-Micro-VR hybrid intelligent measurement module data packaged into an acquisition box,the monitoring data can then be transmitted wirelessly to the computer control terminal with the help of GPRS module and the Internet.The command unit of the monitoring system in turn uses the virtual instrument developed by LabVIEW to call for the transferred monitoring data and then put them for analysis in the form of deformation charts,rates,extreme values,the changing tendency and so on.And,now,the monitoring center tends to keep alert to see if the monitoring data overrun or tend to overrun so as to remind the project manager to turn on or turn off the signal light or signal sound.At the same time,the instrument can also help to adjust the track quality reference data and the construction schedule steps.It can also help to save the data for inquisition,generate the reports over the construction situation under way as well as the safety assessment.In so doing,the system can perform the real-time monitoring of the construction project under way,the dynamic and precise adjustment of the track,and give timely reminding and warning of the likely hazards to guarantee the safety and security of the project.Practical trial applications show that the system is featured with high-precision and low-cost,escorting the bridge and culvert construction and the security of railway traffic and transportation.
