Cognitive Grammar:Profiling in the Semantic Structures

Cognitive grammar claims semantic description as the center.It is a process of conceptualization and imagery.The grammatical structures reside in the semantic structures.Profiling is one of the main means of semantic description.Profiling lies in the levels from lexicon to syntax and discourse.And it reveals the cognitive nature and laws under the grammatical structures.
