Influence of microsilica on properties of tundish castable

QU Dian-li, ZHANG Yun, CHEN Jun-hong (School of Materials Science and Engineering, Anshan University of Science and Technology, Anshan 114044,China)  
The service condition and wear mechanisms of tundish castables are introduced. The influences of micro-silica on thermal shock resistance, slag resistance and thermal expansion of castables are investigated. The results indicate that adding 4a% microsilical gets better results.
