Effect of sintering temperature and powder sizeon properties of aluminium titanate

The paper studied the effect of sintering temperature and powder size on the properties of aluminium titanate.The results show that the critical crystal dimension and the resultant crystal dimension of aluminium titanate have a tremendous influence on the formation of microcracke;controlling the quantity and size of microcracke can improve the thermal expansion and mechanical properties of aluminium titanate;and decreasing sintering temperatures and power sizes can produce aluminium titanate with less microcrackes and higher strength but with a larger thermal expansion coefficient.
