Study on influence of Germany functional translation theory on current translation teaching for college English major

The status quo of the translation teaching for college English major by the application of Germany functional translation theory is analyzed,and its impact is described.Finally,some countermeasures are proposed to the problems existing in the process of teaching,such as stress the importance of translation theories,make the purposes of translation clear,stimulate the students' thinking abilities and cultural awareness,select appropriate materials,and so on.
