Analysis on Fatty Acids in Spirulina by Gas Chromatogrphy-Mass Spectrometry

The fatty acids of Spirulina is extracted by soxhlet extraction method and methylesterefication,then analyzed by Chromatogrphy-Mass Spectrometry.The result shows that 6 fatty acids and 4 unsaturated fatty acids are identified,and the contents of them make up 57.44%,eicosapentaenoic acid(EPA) and 9,12-Octadecadienoic acid(Z,Z)and 5,8,11,14-Eicosatetraenoic acid are 12.17% and 7.25% and 22.12% respectively.
