Determination of Anthraquinone Extraction from Chinese Medicine Morinda Officinalis How

Firstly we chose proper extraction and hydrolysis methods to determine the content of free anthraquinone and combined anthraquinone from Morinda Officinalis How.So that we can understand the composition and action of Morinda Officinalis How mush better.To reduce error,we used the color reaction of anthraquainone and magnesium acetate,1,8-dihydroxy anthraxquinone was used as contrast and spectrophotometry was adopted to determine the content.It is showed that the content of anthraquinone is high from Morinda Officinalis How,and the content of combined anthraquinone is much higher than that of free anthraquainone.It provied reference for evaluation of the pharmacological action of Morinda Officinalis How and for rational development of it.The degree of precision is good,and the recovery is high.We also adopted co-water distillation method and volatile oils detector to extract the volatile oils from Morinda Officinalis How.It is showed that there is a little volatile oils in Morinda Officinalis How,so that we can study it more deeply.
