p53 expression in benzene inhalation of mice

Objective:To study the toxicity of benzene inhalation on DNA of bone marrow cells in mice.Methods:After static inhalation of benzene for 30 days,bone marrow cells were tested for p53 by using immunohistochemical technic,and u test is calculated for comparison with the control group.Results:All experimental mice all survived,their white cells counts were within normal range.p53 expression of the highest concentration inhaling group(3.96 mg/L) was higher than that of the control and the other experimental groups(P0.01 and P0.05).Conclusions:Inhalation of benzene effects DNA of bone marrow cells.This may be one of causes of leukemia.
