Analysis of Bearing Load and Settlement of the Reinforced Ground

TANG Fen et al.  
On basis of the complex ground theory, the authors divided the reinforcing effects into two parts: the cushion effect and the effect of improving the tensile strength in reinforcing materials. The equa tions for calculation of the bearing load and settlement in the reinforced ground are introduced. The mecha nism of the action of reinforcing materials is discussed.
