Summary on Stability Assessment for Man-excavated High Slope Adjacent to Building Site in Mountain Areas

The subject of this thesis is to study the problems on right stability assessment of man-excavated high slope, often encountered in urban construction in mountain areas. It is the key to ensure the security of building site adjacent to man-excavated high slope. On the basis of some typical engineering cases in Chongqing area, several crucial problems on security assessment of building site adjacent to man-excavated high slope are discussed, including natural geological conditions and the case of artificial disruption, engineering environment, potential destructive pattern of high slope, assessment calculation parameters and analytical methods on security assessment. As a result, it indicates that the conclusion of security assessment is determined by the above mentioned aspects and is one of the fundamental bases to ensure the building site security.
