Experimental Study on Temperature Field Distribution of the Fire in Qinling King-size Highway Tunnel

The fire in king size tunnel is difficult to be put out and would cause serious damage. It acts as one of the key factors in safety operation. Based on fire model test, a study is carried out about the rule of temperature distribution along transverse and longitudinal orientation and the scale of temperature field distribution. At the same time, the result of model test is applied to the Qinling Tunnel project about structure fire protection, scheme of equipment allocation, magnitude of air velocity in tunnel fire and restricted distance for vehicle.
